Thanks to all who came to see us at Family Tree Live – it was a great event and we met some lovely, interesting people. We had lots of interest and it was clear people liked the simplicity of what we offer – Recordalife Life Stories that capture the memoirs of people in their families, the people they see every day. There were also many people who were in the process of writing their memoirs or family history and were looking for help on editing and printing through our Memoirs-to-Print service.
Something we heard a lot: “I wish I’d known about you before my mum/dad passed away”. Which of course begs the question, why leave it any later for family still with us?
Another thing we heard a lot: “I haven’t had an interesting life so it’s not worth creating my memoirs”. There is no such thing as an interesting life! We’ve interviewed and created the biographies of many people, from all parts of our society, and there is simply no such thing as a boring, uneventful life – people have overcome challenges, had children, lost family, have stories about members of their families, have amazing hobbies, have traveled, have stayed in the same village, and have wonderful anecdotes and memories no matter what.
So, really, why waiting any longer; and why wait until it’s too late? We can create memoirs in as little as 8 weeks from interview of the person to print of their autobiography and CD. Their story, their words, their voice. To keep and cherish forever.
