Today’s Life Story Gift Pack shipments include one going to Chicago, home of our inspiration, Studs Terkel. So we just had to include a pic of his memoirs in tribute. It’s a privilege to be able to return the favour to Chicagoans by capturing some of their life stories too.
As on Wikipedia:
Louis “Studs” Terkel (May 16, 1912 – October 31, 2008)[1] was an American author, historian, actor, and broadcaster. He received the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction in 1985 for The Good War and is best remembered for his oral histories of common Americans, and for hosting a long-running radio show in Chicago.
Mike, our founder, was inspired by reading his works about ordinary people, all of whom had fascinating life stories, as we all do. And we hope Recordalife can play its small part in continuing capturing the voice and histories of everyone.
