In many of our Recordalife Life Story Interviews, we hear the stories of people who have suffered from losing a parent or sibling during childhood. This is a very difficult time for children to go through and it often has a lasting impact on people’s lives and their futures. Winston’s Wish is an amazing charity that supports bereaved children, their families, and the professionals who support them. As part of our ongoing efforts to help charities that are relevant to our clients’ lives and their Life Stories, we are pleased to announce that we are raising funds for Winston’s Wish to help them in their endeavours. Going forward, we will make donations for every Life Story we work on for people who have experienced childhood bereavement. This will be a donation of at least £10 for each Recordalife Life Story and £20 for each Recordalife Life Story Extra. This is a wonderful charity doing important work.
Mike Tapia, Recordalife founder says, “I lost my mother when I was a child, and it had an enormous impact on me and my family. At the time we had friends and family who supported us how they could, but really my younger sister and I were left just to get on with it and muddle through. Looking back, I can see how it would have been extremely beneficial to have had the support and understanding of experts in childhood bereavement. I am delighted that we can support Winston’s Wish in our modest way.”
